What is the history of Citybizlist?

Citybizlist's founder and CEO is Edwin Warfield. For almost 30 years Warfield has been an entrepreneur and innovator in delivering local business information to sophisticated business leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors. He directs the editorial operations of its global editors. Warfield became involved in local media in the 1980s when he took over management of Baltimore's The Daily Record – a business founded by his great-grandfather in 1888 – and radically altered every element of the newspaper. He sold The Daily Record to Dolan Media in 1994. Warfield then created Review.Net, which was named the best online newspaper in 1997. That property expanded to become LocalBusiness.com, a network of 40 local business news sites, and was taken over by a group of investors including Bruce Wasserstein and Times Mirror Partners. In 2007, as he watched the implosion of local business news reporting operations, Warfield decided the needs of local entrepreneurs, investors, and other business leaders were not being met and created citybizlist.com.
